Congratulations to the WCU Pride of the Mountains Marching Band for its performance in the 2011 Rose Parade. (In case you missed it, the Hallmark Channel will rebroadcast the parade at 1 p.m. New Year’s Day.) The band worked hard to get to Pasadena, Calif., raising some $640,000 for the trip and even training for the six-mile parade route by making laps on a closed section of road in Cullowhee. Members devoted their holiday break to the event, and now they are due some R&R in California. Happy New Year’s, Pride of the Mountains.
Seeing my friends and colleagues from The Pride of the Mountains on international TV today made me a bit misty-eyed with emotion. So proud of the university where I work!
Very Proud Today to be a WCU alumni. The Band did a wonderful job representing WCU.
Way to go WCU Marching Band…you guys were awesome!! Proud to be a colorguard mom!
