Slideshow: Band greeted at hotel with compliments, cheers

Created with Admarket’s flickrSLiDR.

The band received high praise from WCU band directors and Chancellor John W. Bardo upon its return to the hotel after the Rose Parade.  Fans, family and alumni lined the hall and cheered as band members entered the building on Jan. 1. My husband and I have been hanging on every word, photo and video posted here. Thanks from the bottom of our hearts for all the effort that went into this site, so we could feel a part of this incredible time in our son’s life.

What a great job done by everyone involved! The band put on a great show today! We rooted for you from our living room while we watched you march down that street! It was also very nice to be able to be informed via this website. KUDOS to all for letting all of us share our kids’ adventure! Thank you!!!

To think that my daughter came from a band with 12 to 14 members to play with an almost 400 memeber band, who played in the Tournament of Roses Parade is awesome!
I am so thankful for this site. Education in the arts is so important. Katlyn and the rest of the band you guys are “The Best Damn Band in the Land” and truly “Our Pride of the Mountains”. Congratulations and best wishes for the New Year!A proud parent and educator who gradated from WCU.
