The band celebrated the arrival of 2011 with a formal celebration in a ballroom at the Hyatt in Anaheim. The buffet featured salad, pasta and bread and, for dessert, a chocolate fountain with strawberries, marshmallows and cake. The countdown of the ball dropping in New York to mark the new year at midnight EST was shown at 9 p.m. on big screen TVs so band members could celebrate early and get some sleep before the 4 a.m. wake-up call to get up and march in the Rose Parade.
