The first of the six flights scheduled to carry groups of WCU Pride of the Mountains Marching Band to California to participate in the Tournament of Roses Bandfest on Dec. 30 and Rose Parade on Jan. 1 leave today – Tuesday, Dec. 28.
The first group to report are students flying AirTran Airways out of Atlanta. They meet at WCU at 12:45 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 28. (Flight B)
The second group to report meets at the Charlotte airport at 1:45 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 28, for a flight on American Airlines. (Flight C)
The third group reports to the Charlotte airport at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 28., for a U.S. Airways flight. (Flight A)
The fourth group reports to the Raleigh airport at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 28, for a Delta flight. (Flight D)
The fifth group reports to WCU at 2 a.m. Dec. 29 to travel to Atlanta for an AirTran flight (Flight F)
The sixth group reports to the Charlotte airport at 5:45 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 29, for a U.S. Airways flight. (Flight E)

I’m traveling with my mother out of AVL at 5:20 am to get a flight in Charlotte, then our connection to LAX. Can’t wait to be out on the West Coast celebrating & supporting the band.
